Why Join the SPG

The Solo Practitioners Group (SPG) is a sub group of the RIBA North West Region. A Solo Practitioner is defined as working without partners. So a small, single principal practice qualifies, although most members have no other full time staff.

We all, at SPG, know the joy of being our own boss. What we often miss is the daily contact enjoyed in the larger practices, with fellow professionals. SPG helps fill the gap and knowing there is a fellow member at the end of a telephone or email to help with a problem or a piece of elusive information is worth our modest subscription on its own.

We meet monthly on the first Tuesday each month in Knutsford. Whether its the informal chat over a glass of wine, the regular CPD sessions, feedback from the RIBA or shared experiences on a project problem the monthly meetings are invaluable.
