What our members say

It's important to solo practitioners to have fellow practitioners to talk to. This is what our members say we do...

"provide support to each other"
" discuss current issues"
"share ideas and problems"
"bounce ideas around"
"share experiences"
"have discussions with like minded people"
"get different perspectives"
"get advice from knowledgeable peers with a vast range of experience"
"talk about the reality of running a practice in difficult times"

Architects Sole Principles Group

The Sole Principals Group consists of Chartered Architects who are all members of the Royal Institute of British Architects and are in Sole charge or their individual practices.

The RIBA is a supporter of the group.

Members provide advice to each other and can 'network' with other members in providing additional resources and specialist services on projects, as required.

Meetings are held at the Jubilee Hall in Knutsford on the first Tuesday of each month. The Group organise their own CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training programme, ensuring that members are kept up to date with current professional practice, Legislation and developments in the construction industry. Alternate meetings are arranged to discuss business activities and current topics.

In order to join the group, you must to be a registered architect and RIBA member, and be the sole principal of your practice.
